Yesterday, on July 17th, Université Polytechnique de Gitega had the honor of welcoming Dr. Mo Medwani, international expert in AI and founder of innovatiCS company (www.innovatics.ia), accompanied by the Burundi Consul in the Kingdom of Morocco, Dr. Benjamin Ndagijimana, and guided by the iTalenta Group.

The delegation was warmly received by the university’s senior leadership before Dr. Medwani delivered an inspiring lecture on Artificial Intelligence to students and staff members.

The main objective of the visit was to initiate a strategic exchange on data governance and engineering, digital transformation through cloud technologies, and the integration of artificial intelligence, with the goal of developing a long-term technological collaboration strategy.

The entire university community was deeply engaged and enthusiastic about the discussions and future opportunities. It was agreed to continue working together in order to make Université Polytechnique de Gitega a regional AI hub.
